Belonging to the Rotary Cycling Fellowship  (www.cyclingtoserve.org) is what keeps Club members and friends active, with our “Easy Riders” group going for a cycling trip almost every Sunday from April to October and beyond, if the weather permits. These weekly trips are at the heart of the Club’s Cycling For Trees fundraising programme, turning the Easy Riders’ miles into Czech Crowns thanks to sponsorship by members, family and friends. The finances raised support environmental projects in the form of planting trees in the name of freedom in cooperation with Czech NGO Nadace Partnerství (https://www.nadacepartnerstvi.cz/Co-delame/Projekty/Sazime-budoucnost), which has yielded the following:
  • In 2021, we raised CZK 100,000 to plant an alley near Příbram
  • In 2022, we raised CZK 120,000 to plant the alley in Račiněves (Říp area). This alley is named "Nicolas Winton Alley" to commemorate the heroic deed of Sir Nicolas Winton, whosaved 669 Jewish children in Prague in 1939 (for more on this story, see the movie One Life starring Sir Anthony Hopkins)
  • In 2023, we planted alley in Kujavy near Ostrava
  • In 2024, we raised 200,000 CZK to support tree planting in Broumov, attended by  President Petr Pavel and his wife
  • In 2025, we planted 100 trees in Vestec near Prague, each dedicated to remarkable individuals who have positively contributed to society, to mark the 100th anniversary of Rotary in Czechia and Slovakia. This project will have its own website, where you will find profiles of the individuals who have been honoured and how to make a nomination, if you would like to add to the list by sponsoring one of the remaining trees
Our other major annual activity is the 4 Days event, held in a different location each year:
  • Aix-en-Provence, France (2018)
  • Oudenaarde, Belgium (2019)
  • Siena, Italy (2022)
  • Lorach, Black Forest in Germany (2023)
  • Prague, Czech Republic (2024) - www.4days-Prague.cz
  • Luberon, Provence in France (2025)
  • Most recently more than 100 Rotary cyclists gathered in Favrskov, Denmark (2026) www.4days-favrskov.dk, from which one of the participants sent the following report:
“It was for the first time in the 35 years of ‘4 Days’ event history that we cycled in Denmark, with the Danes, Norwegians and Swedes attending this event for the first time. Our Club was strongly represented by a group of 10. We thoroughly enjoyed our days, with routes of 60km, 90km or 90km to choose from. Denmark is a Mecca for cyclists, being exceptionally flat. The countryside seemed to have been manicured before our arrival - we have never seen such a tidy, all green and blossoming countryside, ever! It was difficult to say goodbye to such a wonderful riding environment.”

Based on the successful Epic Ride in 2024 from Germany, Austria and Poland to Prague in support of Buffalo bikes for Africa a group of Rotary cyclists set out from Paderborn, Germany, to cover 120-150 km per day to raise money for “Buffalo bikes for Africa”, which enable students in remote areas to attend school.
