On a bright and sunny Saturday morning six Rotarians and guests joined in the Palestra 10 KM run. The conditions could not have been better and as the starting pistol sounded 1700 runners set off to show what they can do. Half way around the course and having been overtaken by what seemed like a stampede I set myself the objective that 'taking part is what really matters' and completing the race is what it is all about. The Czech nation is not only one of tennis and ice hockey players but also has running talents. The best time (alas not from our team) was 30 minutes and 14 seconds however Staffen's son Hugo finished in an amazing 39.01 minutes. A big thanks to Jiri Bavor for organising our participation and a note for your diaries - Jiri is already working on the next run: 15K on the 31st May around the Macha lake.
