On Saturday 19th September, Rotary Club Prague International joined more than 100 groups in the city of Prague and millions of people around the world for World Cleanup Day. Ten members got together to clean Údolí Kunratického potoka (Kunratice Brook Valley), located in Prague 4.
On Saturday 19th September, Rotary Club Prague International joined more than 100 groups in the city of Prague and millions of people around the world for World Cleanup Day. Ten members got together to clean Údolí Kunratického potoka (Kunratice Brook Valley), located in Prague 4.
They had a successful start at 9am sharp from Roztyly metro station, collecting a substantial amount of trash before even entering the park.
They worked their way through the park finding everything from cigarette butts to vodka bottles and a surprising amount of clothes along the way. In particular, they were pleased to clean a children's play area located within the park.
We would like to thank Aly for organizing the event and providing refreshments, our RCPI President Daniel for his assistance and for encouraging such great participation. Our special thanks to Andreas, Casey, Gerry, Aleš, Hana, Jana, Sylvia and Matej for joining and making the event such a success.
